The house has oil fired central heating which was installed about 5 years ago. It is regularly serviced under a maintenance agreement. There is at least one radiator in all rooms. The heating system is needed only for the winter months because it can get quite chilly at nights. The boiler provides hot water on demand for the bath and showers so there is no hot water storage tank. There is a secondary bottled gas boiler which provides only hot water on demand. It is used during the summer months for showers.
There is a large living room with space for a dining table if desired and a window. All windows in the property are fitted with insect screens and blackout blinds.

Casas del Señor is a sleepy Spanish village situated conveniently between the larger towns of Pinoso and Monóvar and is only about 45 minutes drive from the bustling city of Alicante and the beaches there. There are a lot of English speaking people living in this area so you can choose to frequent the establishments favored by the ex-pats should you so desire. The locals are very friendly and are only too happy to help you perfect your Spanish and they love it when you make the effort. Don’t get caught out though when they are speaking Valencian, it’s a different language altogether!
The village has a busy restaurant Casa Asuncion (one minute walk) and a couple of butchers shops (30 seconds walk to one of them). A small pub (one minute walk) and a small general store (three minutes walk). There is a village square which is the center of the activities during the Fiesta week.
From the village you can be walking in beautiful hilly terrain in only five to ten minutes if you head off towards Encebras. The walk over the hill to there is simply stunning and there is a welcoming bar to offer refreshments before heading back. It would be great too for mountain biking. There are numerous great walks accessed directly from the house with a wide variety of physical demand from the very hilly to the very flat.
Walk in the other direction towards the village of Xinorlet (pronounced Shin-or-lay) and the terrain is very flat. You can saunter about 1 kilometer along a level path and there you will find more restaurants, bars and a larger grocery store. Restaurant Elias is particularly well regarded
Ten minutes drive will bring you to Pinoso in one direction or Monóvar in the other. Both of these towns provide supermarkets and a wide range of goods and services. The city of Elda is a further 10 minutes past Monóvar and has everything you would expect in a fairly large city.
